This award-winning rural hotel just a stone’s throw from the town centre has one of the most imaginative festive afternoon teas in Warks. Delights on offer – created in the kitchen of 2019’s Masterchef: The Professionals winner Stu Deeley – range from pigs in blanket festive hot dogs to brie and beetroot finger sandwiches and mince-pie macarons for £42.50pp. Add a glass of prosecco or Veuve Clicquot Champagne. Vegan and veggie options available. If you fancy making a night of it the hotel’s 19 bedrooms recently had a whopping £1.5million revamp and are looking swisher than ever.

Festive afternoon tea in a gothic-looking 19th century castle? Why yes please. This gorgeous hotel just out of Stratford serves up delicious afternoon teas in its comfy lounges until 4 Jan 2026. There’s the obligatory sarnies and yummy cakes with a Christmas twist – think turkey sandwiches and Christmas fruit and brandy cake and a choice of eight teas from across the world.

The Terrace, Leamington Spa

This Insta-worthy joint with gorgeous interiors overlooking the River Leam has got a champagne afternoon tea option (£36.95pp), but make sure you take a look at the cocktail menu too, it’s serving up some of the best around. If you’re the designated driver then fear not, there’s nine different teas to try. Notably it won the 2024 Muddy Award for Best Bar. Afternoon tea’s served every day 12-3pm.

Sugar & Spice, FarGo Village, Coventry

Muddy favourite FarGo Village has heaps of lovely shops and eateries, including Sugar & Spice. It’s serving up a fab Festive Afternoon Tea for £30pp with the option of bottomless prosecco for an extra £15. Have a wander around the Indie Mart or Christmas Makers markets afterwards. Make a date to visit this glitzy Bicester hotel – not on our patch but in neighbouring Oxfordshire – where there’s even glitter on the macarons. It’s got the same chi chi designer vibes as nearby Bicester Village – you’ll be eating light-as-air mini quiches with a black marble backdrop – but it’s far from pretentious. Make the sleek tiers of finger sandwiches last as long as you like because the table’s yours all afternoon, and the tea refills keep coming too. Afternoon tea is £29.95pp, add on £15 for the fizz (prosecco is £7 if you’ve already flexed the credit card a little too hard).

Hilltop Farm, Hunningham

At this family-owned farm just outside pretty Leamington Spa you can enjoy views for miles around while tucking into the finest local produce. Their Christmas Afternoon Tea served throughout Dec has meat or veggie afternoon tea options from £26pp and you can add a glass of fizz on too. If you’re taking the kids along then there’s a small option for them and acres of land for them to run wild in.

Becketts Farm, Wythall

This all-singing all-dancing farm shop nestled between Birmingham and Warwickshire has heaps to do including a great farm shop to explore. Once you’ve finished stocking up on treats head over to the restaurant and order their Festive Afternoon Tea from 2pm, Mon-Sat, until 23 Dec, £20pp. You can order to takeaway also.
