Hot on the back of two Black British Theatre Award nominations for 2025&#8217;s <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/romeo-and-juliet/">Romeo and Juliet</a> (and a third for their part in hit family-friendly jazz musical <a href="https://lyric.co.uk/shows/play-on/">Play On!</a>) Artistic Director Corey Campbell, CEO Laura Elliot, and co have unveiled their A/W season, with something for everyone including co-produced work with London&#8217;s Bush Theatre, as well as an eclectic mix of theatre, comedy, family shows &#8211; and of course, the much-loved Christmas panto!

English Touring Opera is visiting the Belgrade for the first time bringing shows both performed in English with English subtitles. Benjamin Britten’s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/britten-the-rape-of-lucretia/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Rape of Lucretia</a> was written in the aftermath of the Second World. War. A group of bored soldiers decide to test the loyalty of the wives they have left behind at home, unleashing a cruel and reckless series of events that have shattering consequences.



A new production of Donizetti’s <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/donizetti-the-elixir-of-love/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Elixir of Love</a>&nbsp;from&nbsp;Martin Constantine, Artistic Director of the pioneering Streetwise Opera,&nbsp;is a classic romantic comedy illustrating matters of the heart are rarely so straightforward as drinking a miraculous concoction.

Caribbean cooking live on stage &#8211; we&#8217;re in! This brand new co-production with London&#8217;s Bush Theatre is a debut play by Brummie writer and theatremaker Sophia Griffin directed by multi-talented Belgrade Theatre Artistic Director Corey Campbell with a top cast. Ty, Leroy and Daniel sign up to a new Caribbean cooking group led by their Occupational Therapist, Naomi. Believing in the healing power of food, she hopes to evoke memories of Sunday dinners at home. But when you’re locked in a secure hospital, can too much food for thought be a bad thing?

Adapted from Rick Riordan’s best-selling novel by Joe Tracz, writer of Be More Chill, and with an electrifying rock score by Rob Rokicki, it’s the perfect adventure for gods, half-bloods and mortals &#8211; any anyone wanting to brush up on their Greek mythology.

Political comedian Mark Thomas plays Frankie, a recovering addict who enters the brave new world of a liberal prison experiment. His fellow convicts aren’t what they seem, and he discovers: the revolution is not dead.
