5 reasons we can’t wait for FarGo’s hottest new festival
Looking for a festival with a difference? Of course we can rely on FarGo. Spring Up Fest is being held from 26-27 March and is all about outdoor theatre, live music and workshops – we can’t wait.
IT’S CELEBRATING THE (LONG-AWAITED) ARRIVAL OF SPRING
If you’re anything like us you’re ready to ditch the layers and dig out your summer wardrobe. Spring Up is a big two hands up to the brighter seasons – and there’s the chance to get inspired with new season fashion pop-ups from Coventry City of Culture’s Haus of Kraft programme and FabLab.
AWESOME THEATRE COMPANIES
National theatre groups will be joined by local troups like Talking Birds and The Fabularium for outdoor shows. Expect performances for all ages and touching on issues like climate change. We can’t wait for acrobatic adventure Around the World in 80 Days and The Whale.
THE CHANCE TO DANCE
We already love a night out at FarGo (awesome food and drinks by top indie businesses – what’s not to love?) but for the festival it’s being stepped up a gear. Expect live music throughout the weekend, with exclusive performances on the Saturday from 6pm at Factory, Commonground, Twisted Barrel Brewery and Tap House. See you at the bar!
LEARN NEW SKILLS
Keep the kids (and you) entertained by taking the whole family to micro-animation workshops by FarGo’s own Let’s Animate. There are woodland shadow puppet workshops delivered by creative theatre company Babbling Vagabonds too – which are just as exciting as they sound!
Yes, really! Every event over the weekend is free to attend. Definitely take some change though, because there are some awesome foodie haunts and indie boutiques to make a pit-stop at while you’re there.
