The Rose & Crown, Warwick
Muddy says: A stylish award-winning pub with 13 bedrooms in the heart of Warwick, great for chilling on sofas, warm open fires in winter, cosy hidden alcoves and interesting menu.
Tucked into the corner of Warwick’s Market Place, The Rose & Crown hums with life all day long. It’s used as a watering-hole, the place for a spot of lunch or supper or somewhere to enjoy a celebration dinner with family and friends.
The pub’s relaxed and friendly bar is warmly decorated in rich green, with comfy leather sofas and a mix of tables to gather around. It’s the perfect spot for a drink or a casual bite to eat. The eatery has high ceilings and a tall mirror over the open fire, with hugger-mugger alcoves for laid-back lunches and suppers. For special occasions there’s a fabulous private dining room for 20 hidden away at the back of the pub, with the same great food and drink on tap.
The Rose & Crown also has 13 smart and comfortable bedrooms that are just the job if you’re making a weekend of it or staying in Warwick on business. All have good bathrooms, great beds, quality linen, free Wi-Fi and plenty of home comforts.
This summer the pub has won two high profile awards. Head chef Leon Higham and his team have been named Britain’s Best Brigades, a national competition which celebrates the best, hardest-working kitchens in the industry. They win a masterclass with a leading UK chef and a cash prize as well as the sought-after title and a donation to the charity of their choice. The pub is also celebrating being named Hospitality Business of the Year at this year’s Pride of Warwick awards.
