 This January at Bacchus Bar Nicholson’s pubs are celebrating the life of the Scottish poet Robert Burns in a truly traditional fashion. They’ll be running a two and three course Burns Night menu accompanied with a complimentary dram of Glenfiddich IPA whisky throughout the week. The pub has more than 40 UK and global drams on offer – highlights for this 2018’s Showcase include Bruichladdich’s Classic Laddie, Hibiki Harmony, Glenfiddich IPA and Penderyn Madei.

Invite-only Burns Bar Pop-up, The Birmingham Whisky Club, The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, Thurs Jan 25

Started by Amy and Craig in December 2011 with a mission to bring whisky and whiskey to Birmingham. The Club has grown over the years and now hosts over 50 tastings a year, a sell-out, world-recognised festival, many private events and a growing membership base. This year the club is opening a new bar and has an invite only ‘Burns Bar Pop-Up’ ahead of their whisky bar and tasting room opening next month.
