<p>You can&#8217;t mention vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurants in the West Midlands without including Land. Fancy pants on for modern, plant-based, seasonal dining restaurant in the Great Western Arcade. Dishes change daily, and there&#8217;s a four or six course tasting menu at a bargain £40 or £60.</p>

<p>This traditional Keralan restaurant opened last year serving up veggie food in the town. There&#8217;s an extensive menu brimming with everything from dosas to puris and curries. If you want a taste of everything then we recommend the thali.</p>

<p>In the mood for Chinese? This joint in <a href="https://warks.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/fargo-village-coventry/">FarGo Village</a> makes hand-pulled noodles and dumplings which are cooked to perfection every time (I know, I’ve eaten there&nbsp;<em>a lot</em>.) There&#8217;s rice bowls and dumplings, and the signature Biang Biang noodles are a game changer.</p>

<p>Like your plant-based food with a Michelin recommendation? Obviously, darling. This Peruvian restaurant in Brum has a veggie tasting menu, but if you&#8217;re looking for totally vegan options there&#8217;s heaps on the a la carte menu, like artichoke ceviche and miso braised aubergine. <em>Fancy</em>!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-plantarium-stratford-upon-avon"><a href="https://plantariumcafe.co.uk">Plantarium</a>, Stratford-upon-Avon</h2>



<p>This all-vegan cafe takes you on a trip around the world with its different flavours which include shawarma wraps with homemade seitan or a bean and chickpea stew. There&#8217;s daily special homemade cakes too. Well, it&#8217;d be rude not to. </p>

<p>This vegan joint changes up its menu on a weekly basis with dishes like soups, stews and curries. Portions are huge and their food is delicious too. There&#8217;s also special drinks, and many of the ingredients are foraged. </p>

<p>This cafe opened up last year with breakfast, lunch and snack options and is headed up by Chris Woodward, formerly of the aforementioned Pod Cafe. It&#8217;s also home to a yoga studio with classes for everyone from beginners to experience yogis.</p>

<p>Former vegan restaurant of the year, Ba-Ha is serving up everything from bottomless brunches to Sunday lunch and vegan takes on the likes of fish and chips and wings. It&#8217;s based at The Rainbow in Digbeth and has catered everything from The Brit Awards to Eurovision, no wonder it&#8217;s a bit of an institution in the city.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-temperance-leamington-spa"><a href="https://www.temperance.bar">Temperance</a>, Leamington Spa</h2>



<p>This cafe-come-bar-come-art gallery in the centre of Leam offers an all vegan menu of locally sourced produce. There&#8217;s a cracking choice of cocktails, craft beer and wine (or just sample all three&#8230; hic!). It&#8217;s got a cool vibe with local artists&#8217; work displayed, and you can buy a piece too if one takes your fancy. </p>

<p>If you&#8217;re on a health kick then this place is perfect. It feels like you&#8217;re eating something naughty but it&#8217;s actually good for you. The wrap and juice bar specialises in vegan doner kebabs and shawarmas, with everything made in-house. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-mowgli-birmingham"><a href="https://www.mowglistreetfood.com">Mowgli</a>, Birmingham</h2>



<p>Gorgeous interiors – think fairy lights galore and swing seats – and plenty of plant-based options at this Indian street food restaurant in Grand Central. Vegans aren’t an afterthought here &#8211; there&#8217;s a separate menu that includes treacle tamarind fries (*seriously* moreish), holy chow chickpea and potato curry served in a loaf (a ‘vegan showstopper’) and a vegan version of restaurant favourite, yoghurt chat bombs. Can’t decide? <p>Craving a full English, &#8216;facon&#8217; sarnie, hot dog or dirty (vegan) burger? This is your place. It believes in never using animal products of any kind and sourcing ingredients as locally as possible &#8211; the prices are pretty reasonable too!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-cafe-soya-birmingham"><a href="https://www.cafesoya.co.uk">Cafe Soya</a>, Birmingham</h2>



<p>This Vietnamese-Chinese fusion restaurant in the Arcadian offers meat alternative versions of all its dishes including spicy veggie prawn fried rice and mock duck pancakes. It&#8217;s a Muddy fave and my go-to before heading to a show at The Hippodrome which is just around the corner. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-mayor-s-cafe-and-community-gardens-bedworth"><a href="https://people-in-action.com/the-mayors-cafe/">Mayor&#8217;s Cafe and Community Gardens</a>, Bedworth</h2>



<p>This cafe next to Bedworth&#8217;s Miner&#8217;s Park (a great place to take the kids and dog for an amble) is a hidden gem. It&#8217;s run by charity <em>People in Action</em> and sells veggie and vegan food, with most grown and picked from the onsite gardens &#8211; where you can also buy some lush plants. The menu changes pretty much daily so keep an eye on their socials for what&#8217;s cooking!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-rsc-rooftop-stratford-upon-avon"><a href="https://www.rsc.org.uk/rooftop-restaurant">RSC Rooftop</a>, Stratford-upon-Avon</h2>



<p>The RSC&#8217;s restaurant does a great choice of vegan meals, and a vegan afternoon tea if you fancy it &#8211; and why wouldn&#8217;t you? The views are gorgeous too so try and book a window seat and treat yourself to a show afterwards.</p>

<p>Starting life in a tiny fisherman’s cottage in Brighton back in 2002,&nbsp;Giggling Squid&nbsp;began with a simple idea: to cook ‘simple, rustic, fresh Thai food’ and it now &#8211; unsurprisingly &#8211; has outposts across the country, including a whopping six in our area. The restaurant has a special evening vegan menu which includes a selection of stir fries and curries (the Massaman is mouthwatering), plus a very reasonable set tapas lunch.</p>

<p>If street food&#8217;s more your thing, these falafel, hummus and fresh salad wraps along with freshly squeezed juice are epic &#8211; this all-vegan Middle Eastern city centre takeaway joint&#8217;s also hugely popular with both Cov and Warwick Uni students. </p>
