Who's on the 2017 line-up?

Fancy having a laugh? Here’s this year’s full line-up…starting with Sarah Millican and Henning Wehn and ending with Alan Davies.  Also worth knowing that there’s a fab children’s comedy club on Sat Oct 14.

Henning Wehn: Westphalia is Not an Option, Sun Oct 8 

His last show – a sell-out at the 2016 Comedy Festival – tackled the British obsession with home ownership and the self-serving nature of many fundraising efforts, this time Henning’s having an unbiased look at immigration. Suitable for ages 16+.

Adele Cliff & Sarah Bennetto, The Royal Pug, Leamington, Tues Oct 10

New act Adele Cliff brings her sell-out Edinburgh Fringe Show Cliff Notes to this autumn’s comedy fest examining the silly notes she’s made over the last couple of years. In this double-bill Sarah Bennetto, a stand-up comic from Melbourne, Australia, now living and performing in the UK including BBC Radio 4 will be performing her new show All My Life’s Mistakes, Catalogued (volume 1) – presented in list form.

Rob Rouse, Royal Spa Centre Studio, Leamington, Tues Oct 10

Actor/comedian Rob Rouse who’s in Ben Elton’s Shakespeare sitcom Upstart Crow on BBC 2 will be performing his new stand up show Are You Sitting Comfortably? – his fourth national tour. Rob’s also appeared in 8 out of 10 cats, Dave’s One Night Stand, The Friday Night Project and Live at the Comedy Store. The former geography teacher and wife Helen do a weekly podcast with his wife Helen – Rob and Helen’s Datenight Podcast – with both kids now at school and a little more time on their hands!

The Horne Section, Royal Spa Centre Main House, Leamington,Wed Oct 11

The Horne Section – Spiegeltent Canary Wharf © Nunzio Prenna

The Horne Section is where music and comedy collide creating a show packed with brass based fun. Expect toe-tapping tunes on weighty issues such as beards, caveats and Scottish widows. Following their hit BBC Radio 4 series and many years of sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as London’s West the ensemble take on Leamington. Expect a heady mix of chotic stand-up, spectacular performance and outlandish musical talent led by the brilliant comedian Alex Horne.

Ed Byrne: Spoiler Alert, Royal Spa Centre Main Stage, Leamington, Fri Oct 13

The comedian’s biggest ever tour visiting more than 50 venues – he’s built a reputation as one of the finest observational comics in the industry. Ed can also be seen on BBC  TV shows Mock The Week and Dara & Ed’s Big Adventure.

Brand new stand-up from the multi-award-winning Irish/Iranian comic who talks about life as a teenager in the 90s.

Fantastic family entertainment with some of the best comedians around for children aged 6+.

A firm Edinburgh Fringe absurdist favourite – visitors are escorted around the museum by the mysterious and disenchanted tour guide!

Festival Finale with Alan Davies, Royal Spa Centre Main Stage, Sat Oct 14

A pool of top comedians to end the week’s festivities headlined by the star of  QI, As Yet Untitled and of course, detective drama Jonathan Creek. The show will be compered by 2016 Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Christian Lee, and the line-up includes card throwing ninja Javier Jarquin; Leicester Comedy Festival’s comedian of the year nominee, David Jordan; and winner of the Piccadilly Comedy Club 2016 New Comedian of the Year Award, Eshaan Akbar.
