<p>You know that moment when you spot something on Kate Winslet and immediately think, <em>I’ll have what she’s having</em>? Well. Add Olivia Colman, Ruth Wilson and America Ferrera into the mix wearing the same jewellery brand and it officially becomes A Thing.</p>

<p>The brand? <a href="https://lauravann.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Laura Vann</a> Jewellery. The twist? It’s made in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. </p>



<p>Yes. Our Birmingham.</p>



<p>Laura founded the brand in 2013 after studying jewellery design, coming back to work alongside her father’s long-established family jewellery business. So while the pieces now sit happily in Liberty, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum &amp; Mason, the making still happens in the Quarter — the same streets that have been turning out serious craftsmanship for generations.</p>



<p>So what’s the vibe? The designs draw on Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco influences and everything you’re wearing look slightly more intentional, even if you absolutely did just throw it on.</p>

<p>The hoops have presence. The necklaces sit exactly where they should. The rings stack without veering into “accidental magpie”. It’s considered, but not precious about itself. There’s a whisper of vintage running through it — nothing costume-y, just enough to give it character.</p>



<p>It’s easy to see why it works on women like Kate, Olivia and America. Their style isn’t loud; it’s assured. Laura Vann jewellery does the same thing. It finishes a look without fighting it.</p>

<p>For a start, it’s properly made. Not “great for a week, green fingers by Friday” made. Then there’s the fact that once you’ve noticed it, you start spotting it everywhere — red carpets, TV panels, events. It’s become that insider brand that stylish women reach for without making a song and dance about it.</p>



<p>And finally? There’s something deeply satisfying about knowing that the jewellery getting the Kate Winslet nod started life in Brum.</p>



<p>So yes. We’re calling it.</p>



<p>If it’s good enough for Kate, Olivia, Ruth and America, it’s good enough for us.</p>
