4 British Flowers Week events

Started by the Flower Market at New Covent Garden Market in 2013, this is an annual celebration of the wealth and variety of British cut flowers and foliage.

Four British Flowers Week (June 18 – 24) garden cutting tours, installations and workshops happening in the Midlands and beyond this weekend:

Cutting Garden Tours at Daylesford Farm, Cotswolds, Sat June 23

Daylesford’s Lead Florist will lead the tours of their organic Market Garden, sharing insights and knowledge about the flowers at their best in the height of summer, including exquisite roses, delicate sweetpeas and stunning peonies. You will have the opportunity to cut a few flowers to take home with you.  10 – 11am; 12-1pm. £10pp, https://daylesford

Terrariums with Bloom Collective at Mailbox Birmingham, Sat June 23

Perfect for any green-fingered city dweller, this workshop brings the outside in with a touch of foliage in time for summer, 1-2pm.  The workshop will take place in the Heal’s showroom (Level 1). £35pp, eventbrite

Summer Wreaths with Bloom Collective at Mailbox Birmingham, Sun June 24

Proudly display the stunning sprigs of summer with a unique wreath and bring your doorstep to life. The workshop will take place in the Wesley Barrell showroom (Level 1). 1-2pm. £15pp, eventbrite

See 6 specially commissioned floral designs from some of the country’s most exciting indie florists made with British flowers from New Covent Garden Market in a refurbished abandoned church. This is the first British Flowers Week exhibition. Judges whittled down more than 30 competition entries.
