Jazz up your jardin

You ready to al fresco? Meet Rosara, your new Bicester BFF in neighbouring Oxfordshire for outdoor style that knocks John Lewis into touch.

What’s that yellow fiery ball in the sky? It looks vaguely familiar. Can it finally be time to unzip the Muddy parka? Whisper it but it seems that summer might just, finally, be on its way. Which means time to chuck everyone out of the house into the garden until September – yippee. However, before I settle into my favourite sun lounger for the next five months straight, a bit of sprucing up is needed to make the most of al fresco living.

Which is where Rosara at Nicholsons Nurseries comes into play. The outdoor style store, just over the Warwickshire border in North Aston, North Oxon, – in between Banbury and Bicester – majors in stylish rustic pieces that are classic enough to stand the test of time (after all, no one wants to be buying new outdoor cushions every summer). But even better news – their pieces are extremely keenly priced. Such good value, in fact, that you can jazz up your patio for less than £100. Yes really. Here’s my edit of the best outdoor living bargains. I’ll be on my hammock if you need me.

Rosara hammock, £95

Knitted poufs medium £25, large £55

Cotton throws £29 each

Cushions, £25

If you fancy a browse in person, it’s a lovely spot for a day out 40 mins from Leamington Spa & Warwick, and 30 mins from Gaydon or Shipston-on-Stour. Don’t forget to head under canvas for lunch or coffee at the newly opened yurt café  The Yurt at Nicholsons, reviewed here by editor of Muddy Bucks/Oxon Hero Brown. Alternatively, everything is available to buy on the website.
