Property flirt! Can you guess the price?
Need to escape your own four walls for a few minutes? Here, have a virtual meander around this picture-perfect cottage surrounded by bucolic idyll.
Not played Property Flirt before? Welcome to one of the most popular bits on Muddy Stilettos, where I show you around a gorgeous Warks pile, you guess the price and if you get it right, I give you the keys (*joking*).
Nestled at the end of sweetly named Post Office Lane, this detached stone cottage with period features hits the nail on the head if you’ve always dreamed of classic village life – think local church, village pub – whilst being just six miles south of one of Warwickshire’s best towns Leamington Spa.
Downstairs, in the heart of the home you’ll find a open-plan kitchen/ diner ideal for entertaining with a kitchen island, integrated appliances and space for a decent-sized dining table next to a feature fireplace.
There are also two reception rooms – a drawing room with large inglenook fireplace, wooden panelling and window seat (the ideal spot for curling up with a book) – and a bright, airy sitting room (above) with vaulted ceilings, exposed brick fireplace and double French doors leading out to a paved patio area.
Head to the first floor up the iron spiral staircase and you have a spacious master bedroom (above) with skylights, dressing room, ensuite and garden access, as well as a family bathroom and two further bedrooms both with built in storage.
Green fingered? Then let’s step outside, Ms Dimmock. The neatly-kept rear garden features a variety of shrubs and plants, plus there’s a further lawn area with fruit trees (homemade apple pie, anyone?), veggie garden and greenhouse which backs on to open countryside. There are also two outhouses currently used as an offie and ‘hobby room’ (but we’re thinking yoga studio or kid-free haven!), as well as a decked outdoor area perfect for entertaining in the warmer months.
Fancy buying this little slice of idyllic village life? Guess the price in the comments (hey, no cheating!) and then see how close you get.
