Schools Open Day Alert

A new school year, and the open days klaxon has sounded. Hotfoot it to King's High's fabulous new eco-Smart school on the Myton campus in Warwick this Friday and for the Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday Sep 25.

After celebrating an amazing set of A Level and GCSE results, King’s High in Warwick, has this term just moved from Smith Street into brand-new premises on the Myton Road campus  – a fabulous eco-friendly Smart building designed by London’s award-winning Nicholas Hare Architects with swish world-class facilities.

This summer saw 72% of girls achieve Grades 9-7 at GCSE and a third of girls getting all grade 7 or higher – with four girls achieving straight grade 9s, the very highest. Amazingly, more than 50% of all results at A Level were A*-A, 85% A* to B and 96% A*-C. Outstanding results included twins gained identical grades with two A*s and an A! But there’s more to school than league tables with innovative features such as the Inspire programme, which includes regular visits to Oxford, Cambridge, London and beyond.

Hotfoot it to the next school Open Evening on Fri Sept 20 (4.30pm – 7.30pm), and Sixth Form Open Evening on Wed Sept 25 (6.30pm – 9pm) to see for yourselves or read my review here. I can’t wait to have a tour around the new school myself this week and to report back.
