An award-winning family Farm Shop, Restaurant, conferencing centre and Cookery School just across the Warwickshire border in Wythall - passionate about the best locally-sourced quality produce.
An award-winning rural farm shop, restaurant, cookery school and conference centre in Wythall, Birmingham, just across the Warwickshire border close to Tanworth-in-Arden and Packwood House.
Becketts have been farming in Wythall for 80 years. The current Managing Director, Simon, is the third generation of Becketts to farm in Wythall since Simon’s grandfather, Albert, moved to Wythall from Shropshire in 1937. Today, while still farming over 1,000 acres of cereals, it concentrates on connecting much more closely with people and enabling them to buy their food direct from a farm.
The farm shop includes a bakery, butchers, delicatessen, greengrocers, party platters, cheese wedding cakes and Pinks Florist. Fancy breakfast, lunch or Sunday carvery while you’re there? The farmhouse Restaurant and Coffee shop cooks dishes from scratch sourced from the farm shop and local British produce. Meals range from their award-winning full English breakfast to a Farmhouse Quiche of the day or Becketts Butchery Pork Tenderloin with creamy mash and seasonal veg. Breakfast, lunch, and Sunday carvery menus. There’s vegetarian, gluten free and children’s options too. You can see the menu choices here.
You can also treat yourself to an excellent value £19.95 afternoon cream tea for two with a range of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and cakes/traybakes. And for budding Nigella Lawson’s and Nadiya Hussain’s out there, the farm’s Orange Kitchen Cookery School delivers fab classes for children and adults, as well as team-building experiences for businesses with a handful of highly trained and well respected guest chefs.
It is conveniently located on the A435, 1 mile north of Junction 3 of the M42 with free parking for up to 300 cars.
