From Peaky Blinders-themed rooms, to horror, Sherlock Holmes and even an outdoor adventure, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be asking ‘which one shall we book next?’ after trying out Escape Live.

It’s got centres in Brum’s Jewellery Quarter, FarGo Village in Cov and in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, so you’ll have one within driving distance – though I recommend hopping on a train if you’re heading to Birmingham and having a drink or two in the speakeasy-themed bar.

There’s different rooms at each venue, with themes like detectives, a contagious lab outbreak (like that would ever happen!) and there’s the official Peaky Blinders escape room in the city where the hit series was filmed. They’re suitable for between 2 and 6 people so head along with your other half, a group of friends or the whole family.

Most recently Birmingham launched an outdoor escape room Sherlock: The Hunt for Watson which sees participants trek across the city with an iPad and satchel in hand as you follow a map to checkpoints where you solve a riddle or puzzle. It’s a great way of seeing the buzzy city while completing a fun task against the clock.

If you fancy making a few hours of it and playing multiple games then there’s catering options at the venue in Birmingham, or you can order food in.

And if you’re looking for somewhere for a birthday, hen party or corporate event there’s rooms to hire out as a large group of you take on challenges.
