The Boat, Catherine-de-Barnes
Say hi to this beautiful contemporary pub serving up incredible food and drink in a stunning canal side location.
Not all pubs are created equal – and this one in the heart of the Midlands is definitely amongst the creme de la creme.
The Boat is pretty much the perfect place to stop for brunch through to dinner, or just for a glass (or bottle) of wine. Nestled right next to the canal you can soak up the gorgeous views in the sun trap garden, but hey, we are still in England so there’s plenty of cosy inside space if the weather isn’t agreeable. Think nooks and crannies to relax into, roaring open fires and plush velvet seating to get comfy.
Dogs are welcome, so why not drop-in for a drink after a big long walk, or if you can’t bear to leave them at home (hands up!) then just take them with you – the pub comes well-prepared with jars of dog biscuits to hand and plenty of fuss from the team!
It’s open all day, every day from 8.30am and you’re going to need to try the food. The menu created by Executive Chef, Ben Silvester is brimming with seasonal, British produce and there’s something for everyone. Think alfresco brunches served with breakfast cocktails to lazy lunches over a bottle of wine or the best Sunday Roasts enjoyed with the whole family.
And if you’re just stopping by for a drink, expect artisan coffees, made in partnership with ethical roasters Paddy & Scott’s, local beer with cask ales and kegs always on rotation, expertly made cocktails and an impressive wine list.
So, race you to the bar?
