Just outside of Stratford-upon-Avon in historic market town Shipston-on-Stour sits two AA rosette restaurant The Bower House, complete with five beautiful bedrooms.

It’s not short of accolades, previously named among the Top 100 Hotels in Britain by The Sunday Times and by the Mail on Sunday for serving up one of the Top 50 Sunday Roasts in the UK.

Rooms with heaps of design flair overlook the bustling Market Square or Market Place, with one also quietly tucked away at the back of the property. Each has a king or super-king size bed with comfy Hypnos mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets – perfect for falling into after a long day exploring the area.  There’s period features like original Georgian windows and shutters, roll top baths, walk in showers, four poster beds and quirky art hanging on the wall to catch your eye. You can book rooms for two people or a family suite for up to four (including fun bunk beds for the ultimate sleepovers). The restaurant is just as special, serving up daily breakfasts, afternoon teas, lunch (including great value set menus), dinner, brunch on Saturdays and Sunday roasts. You’ll find West Country oysters, steak tartare, whole sea bream for two to share and of course some juicy steaks on the menu. If you just fancy a drink then head to the bar for an expertly made cocktail or glass of wine from a well-stocked list.
