The Bower House, Shipston-on-Stour
" A gorgeous boutique stay with individually designed rooms, bohemian decor throughout, stylish restaurant/bar, inventive cocktails and one of the 50 best Sunday roasts in the country!"
The Bower House is an unashamedly stylish restaurant with rooms in a handsome Grade II listed building in the historic market town of Shipston on Stour, in the North Cotswolds.
The rooms are decadent in comfort with super-kingsize beds and dreamy Hypnos mattress’ and beautifully decorated with a mix of antique, vintage and contemporary furniture. The bathrooms are indulgent and enormous, featuring cast iron baths and monsoon showers, all stocked with local Ila spa products.
The restaurant and bar are a destination and open all day. The inventive cocktail list heavily features local spirits, the wine list focuses in bottles from small, family run-vineyards and the kitchen is overseen by Sukhjinder Aujla, who previously worked at Nobu, The Savoy and The Metropolitan. The restaurant is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a hugely popular brunch on Saturdays, and a Sunday roast named one of the UK’s 50 best by Tom Parker Bowles in the Mail on Sunday. It’s also one of The Sunday Times‘s 100 best hotels in the UK.
