Expect calming shades of sage green and white and collections of contemporary art and prints downstairs. Upstairs, the bedrooms are decorated in bold, dark shades with funky, geometric wallpapers by Cole & Son, soft, velvet curtains, giant onion glass lamps, painted vintage furnishings, Feather & Black beds and high pressure rain showers or rolltop baths.
The Townhouse, run by manager, Neil Hanson, is right opposite Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall with Stratford’s main shopping area, The Royal Shakespeare Theatres and the River Avon all within a 5-minute walk.
Townhouse executive head chef, Antony Ely, has created a delicious, new menu of seasonal, rustic and flavourful British dishes made using the best locally sourced produce available. It’s popular, well-established, and enjoyable place to drink, dine and stay in this celebrated historic tourist town.
The Townhouse is a 15-minute walk from Stratford station and the journey time from London Marylebone is two hours. By car, Stratford is two hours drive from central London. Oxford and Cheltenham are a 40-minute drive away.
