The Wave, Coventry
Ready for a splashing time? Coventry's award-winning £36.7m waterpark, spa and gym has been making waves since it first opened in Oct 2019 - and after being closed for months due to the pandemic it's reopening from Fri May 21.
It’s been a tough few months for keen swimmers with pools closed but Coventry’s award-winning waterpark The Wave is reopening on May 21!
And parent and toddler sessions can be booked even earlier from May 18, and Family Fun sessions from Wed May 19.
The Wave celebrated a fantastic first birthday last October, during that time 88 lifeguards have been employed and the aqua attraction has welcomed nearly 85,000 visitors, despite needing to close due to the Covid outbreak.
At the centre of the state-of-the-art waterpark and spa are six exhilarating high octane slides with light and sound features, from the Torrent – which drops riders 20 metres – to roller coaster rides like the Cyclone ending in the plunge pool and the Wave Pool.
Also for younger swimmers there’s the Reef; a splash pad area with jets, tipping buckets and smaller accessible slides for toddlers, along with the lazy river and wave pool churning more than over 20 million litres of water a day.
Mana Spa set within The Wave is also ready for client bookings online. Rooms in this 4 bubble spa take inspo from the Maori words for Ocean, Earth and Waterfall: Moana, Whenua and Wairere. Facilities include gym, sauna and steam rooms, 25m spa pool and treatments.
Other features include exercise classes, squash courts, swimming pool with Aquarius Swim School and Cofa’s cafe bar in the foyer.
