Wow, what a night!

The glasses were overflowing as we toasted the Warks/ West Mids winners of the Muddy Awards 2024 in the gorgeous setting at St Mary’s Guildhall in Coventry, right in the shadow of the cathedral. It was superb to meet so many inspirational local businesses, and hopefully help them on their way to even bigger and better things. (From the convos we had, they’re already cooking up big plans, so watch this space).

We partied at St Mary’s Guildhall, a stunning venue and attraction in the heart of the city centre. The Great Hall was the perfect place for our event, with sunlight beaming in through the stained glass windows and absolutely brimming with historical features like the huge Coventry tapestry. The courtyard was a sweet sun trap too (thank you weather gods) perfect for grabbing some fresh air – and more selfies, obviously.

Canapes and drinks were provided by the venue and didn’t disappoint – the fizz flowed and the finger food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Safe to say these guys know how to throw a party.

Our guests set off home with our goodie bags full of local artisan treats (there’ll be no plastic keyrings at Muddy Towers). We say a big thank you to Field to Fork for their incredible homemade preserves and chutneys, St Mary’s Guildhall for the vouchers and finally to Victoria’s Sponge in Henley – every year she’s baked up her incredible stiletto biscuits which go down an absolute treat. She’s hanging up her apron this year and we’re super sad to see her (and her cakes!) go.

Finally, a sincere thank you to all of you who took part and showed your support and love for local businesses in Warks & the West Mids this year. It’s your passion and involvement that continues to make our awards so different, personal, and relevant to our communities.
