Gotta Have It: Bespoke kitchens and interiors
This independent family business based in Leamington designs and makes the most stunning kitchens and interiors and have transformed bedrooms to boot rooms. Here's some of our favourites.
Want to see your kitchen interior designs evolve from dreams to reality? Of course you do!
Set up in 1986, independent family business Christopher Peters, design and make beautiful bespoke hand-crafted and hand-painted kitchens and interiors employing a team of expert craftsmen from their Warwickshire joinery workshops.
The Leamington-based company offers a personal approach from design through to installation and are renowned for the individual pieces and installations they create around the home, transforming libraries and studies into tranquil places of calm, and practical spaces like boot rooms, sculleries and utility rooms into organised, functional rooms.
Here’s some of our favourites.
The Post House
A splash of colour? Yes please! This fun and playful family kitchen features clever storage solutions including bi-fold pantry cupboards and a standalone kitchen unit. Obsessed.
The Old Rectory
Got a bit of space to play with? How about this kitchen finished in Farrow & Ball Lichen. It’s cannily got two fully integrated dishwashers in the sink cabinet (I know, we couldn’t tell either!) and a real granite work surface. Fitted in an 18th Century Rectory, it also has punched and aged zinc panels on the larder cupboard bi-fold doors; alluding to an original meat safe.
Old meets new in this period kitchen which blends modern conveniences with its traditional past. We love how the simple shaker style cabinetry sits seamlessly alongside the original servants’ bells, and how the sleek hob compliments the AGA.
Master Bedroom of Dreams
I think we’d all sleep easy putting our head down here at night. But where’s the tv you ask? Who needs a tv when you have a bath. Can we just take a second to admire that bed frame too (yes it lifts up for hidden storage), covered in a lick of Farrow and Ball Mole’s Breath.
Brownheath Boot Room
Always running out of wardrobe space? We hear ya. How about kitting out the boot room (you mean you don’t have one?) with personalised wardrobes so everyone has their own space for coats, wellies and dirty football boots. Stylish and practical (and not a muddy stiletto in sight).
Now that is a bookcase. We love how this feature sits in the lounge, and even has space for lamps for some serious mood lighting. The shelves are on adjustable scissor teeth too so can be moved to fit your different book sizes (or vinyl collection – there’s always one!)
