Winners Drinks – Muddy Awards 2018
Meet Warwickshire's wonderful Muddy Award winners 2018 in all their glory!
On Tuesday we climbed the spiral staircase of chic Parisian-style Cafe Vin Cinq, Rugby (2017’s Muddy Award winner – Best Restaurant, if you haven’t been yet, check it out) to Bar Twenty-five on the top floor, to celebrate our 24 Muddy Award winners. We popped a few corks, quaffed fizz and nibbled on some delish canapes created by their talented chef.
To see so many brilliant indie’s come together and celebrate gaining such recognition from so many Muddy readers was really fantastic. It was a room filled with hugely talented entrepreneurs and creatives, many with the most incredible personal stories. All definitely worth a visit – do try and pop along and use their services over the coming months. I know they’d be delighted to see you. That goes for all our finalists too, as voting was very close in some categories. I loved the sense of community spirit as towns came out in force to support their nominated businesses. If felt like the whole of Alcester was behind OrangeMabel (2nd, Best Cafe) Camilla Jones Jewellers (2nd, Best Jewellery Store), 5 a Day (2nd Best Farmshop/deli) – narrowly pipped at the post this year.
There were winners from all over Warwickshire from big towns like Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Rugby, but also smaller outlying villages like Alderminster, Hunningham, Hatton and Armscote. Notably a particular hot bed of talent was Leamington Spa, which clinched the most Muddies this year. And without further ado…
