Flipping fabulous! Where to eat this Pancake Day

Can't be bothered with the faff of Pancake Day? Drop the spatula and make a reservation at one of these eateries instead.

If you can’t think of anything worse than flour, eggs and globs of Nutella plastered all over the kitchen (including the ceiling, if the flipping goes particularly badly), then save yourself the hassle and go out this Pancake Day. Trust us, the kids will enjoy it just as much and no washing up? Everyone’s happy.

Bread&Co, Warwick

If you’re heading into Warwick, these pancake offerings are a definite hit on Shrove Tuesday. Go classic with a fluffy pancake stack with fresh blueberries or bacon, swimming in syrup and topped with the slightly fancy addition of a walnut crumb.

HART&Co, Leamington Spa

If the mission is to impress, then you need to make a reservation at Hart. They’ve got the biggest pancake menu around with all kinds of weird and wonderful toppings – from Kinder or Biscoff to Jammie Dodgers. If you like to mix it up then try a sharing stack (good luck finishing it – it’s huge) which comes with bacon, Nutella, strawberries and all other kinds of delicious and naughty treats.

Rhubarb and Mustard, Nuneaton

This cafe in Nuneaton’s Chilvers Coton Craft Centre has been the spot for brunch since it opened in 2016. Along with avocado and eggs there’s these bad boys. Birthday. Cake. Pancakes. You heard me right. A triple stack of homemade American style pancakes, layered with vanilla frosting and rainbow sprinkles. There’s a kids menu with bacon and syrup or banana and syrup, and a banoffee pancake stack for vegans.

Cherry Reds, Birmingham

Like a bit of a challenge? Or just really, really like pancakes? This hidden gem is offering all you can eat buttermilk or vegan pancakes with syrup for £6. The kitchen is open from 10am so get down there early!

Cosy Club, Coventry

A stack of stodgy pancakes, topped with berry compote, Greek yoghurt and banana – surely that counts as one of your five a day? If not chuck in a Pornstar Martini for good measure.

Pear Tree Creperie, Lichfield

This pancake parlour does what it says on the tin with loads of sweet and savoury options (including Eggs Benedict crepes that are perfect for brunch). There’s a vegan option too so everyone can partake in a little pancake action.
