<p>There&#8217;s plenty for little ones at The Belgrade during half term with a stage adaptation of <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/mog-the-forgetful-cat/">Mog The Forgetful Cat</a> from <strong>30 May &#8211; 4 June</strong> and sing-a-long <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/sing-a-long-a-encanto/">Encanto</a> on <strong>31 May</strong>. Just down the road at Warwick Arts Centre there&#8217;s an erm, unique, take on Romeo and Juliet with a stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler&#8217;s <a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/M7q-the-smeds-and-the-smoos/">The Smeds &amp; The Smoos</a>. It&#8217;s about two aliens whose bond upsets their families. Catch it from <strong>1-4 June</strong>. </p>



<p>Teens can head to <a href="https://www.cinemaoutdoor.co.uk/wolverhamptonoutdoorcinema">Wolverhampton Racecourse</a> on <strong>2 June</strong> to catch an outdoor screening of <em>Top Gun: Maverick</em> at one of the top racecourses on our patch. Along with taking your own drinks and snacks, take Fido along to enjoy the atmosphere too. Cute!</p>



<p>If you like your theatre outdoors too make sure you catch one of <a href="https://www.heartbreakproductions.co.uk/venues/jephson-gardens-leamington-spa-outdoor-theatre/">Heartbreak Productions</a>&#8216; shows at pretty Jephson Gardens in Leamington. There&#8217;s Sense &amp; Sensibility, Machamlear and the stage adaptation of David Walliam&#8217;s book Bad Dad on from <strong>1-9 June</strong>.</p>

<p>Something for the whole family? Whether they’re nine or 90 the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.midlandsairfestival.com/">Midlands Air Festival</a>&nbsp;is a blast. It’s held in the stunning grounds of the Ragley Hall Estate&nbsp;<strong>2-4 June</strong>&nbsp;and will include funky shaped hot air balloons, helicopters, aerobatics and displays from (gasp!) The Red Arrows. Make sure you’re there in the morning or evening to catch the breath-taking mass descent of up to 100 hot air balloons taking to the skies together.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Head down to Old Laurentian RFC in Rugby on <strong>2 June</strong> where&nbsp;<a href="https://pawprintsdogrescue.org/pawprints-fun-dog-show-confirmed-for-2022/">Pawprints Dog Rescue</a>&nbsp;is holding its Fun Dog Show. There’s competitions all day, lots of stands, refreshments and a bar. Result. Your favourite Muddy editor (that’s me btw) will be working on the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lucashelpsdogs.com/">Lucas Helps Dogs</a>&nbsp;stall at both events selling gorgeous dog collars for charity, so stop by and say hello &#8211; and don&#8217;t forget to bring your pooch!</p>

<p>There&#8217;s a focus on the eco-friendly at <a href="https://www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/thinktank">Thinktank</a> over half term, with busking about climate change, making paper plant pots and a chance to meet snakes, giant snails and spiders at the Climate Crusaders Show. </p>

<p>There&#8217;s a huge line-up of big names at the <a href="https://www.rsc.org.uk/events/live-at-festival/the-acts?utm_source=wordfly&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=COLiveattheRSCFestivalupdate&amp;utm_content=version_A">RSC Festival </a>until <strong>4 June</strong> for older kids. Think comedy from the likes of Charlie Baker, Nina Conti, Rhys James, Ian Smith and Mark Watson. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">WORKSHOPS</h2>



<p>At <a href="https://www.ragm.co.uk/holiday-activities">Rugby Art Gallery &amp; Museum </a>there&#8217;s den building and play sessions on <strong>30 May</strong>, followed by nature weaving and printing on <strong>31 May</strong> and classes in making a concertina landscape on <strong>2 June</strong>. At <a href="https://hillclosegardens.com">Hill Close Gardens</a> in Warwick there&#8217;s a&nbsp;Slimly Slugs and Boggling Bugs workshop on <strong>1 June</strong>.</p>

Get them inspired at Compton Verney&#8217;s <a href="https://www.comptonverney.org.uk/event/artmakers-holiday-camp/">Artmakers Holiday Camp</a> on <strong>31 May</strong>. They can get messy with a full day creating, making and exploring, and will have a t-shirt or May crown to take home. </p>

<p>Pirates have taken over at&nbsp;<a href="https://adventure.hattonworld.com/whats-on/wonderful-whitsun/">Hatton Adventure World</a>, so on top of all the usual shenanigans, expect swashbuckling fun from&nbsp;<strong>27 May-4 June</strong>. There’s live shows, epic pirate battles and best dressed competitions. Don’t forget the animal feeding, tractor safaris and laser combat too.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There&#8217;s a gardener-led tour of <a href="https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/kenilworth-castle/events/">Kenilworth Castle</a>&#8216;s gardens throughout <strong>June</strong> so you can find out more about the history and sights and sounds from the past. Also on over half term is the chance for little ones to try their hand at sword fighting (not real ones, fear not), take part in medieval dress up and explore some of the historic armour the site has seen over the years. When you&#8217;ve tired them out head to the onsite cafe for a cuppa, you&#8217;re gonna need it. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">PETROLHEADS</h2>



<p>Head to the <a href="https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/whats-on/may-half-term">British Motor Museum</a> from <strong>27 May-4 June</strong> where they&#8217;re celebrating all things Land Rover. There&#8217;s family tours taking in the <em>Pink Panther</em> used by the SAS and a Range Rover driven by the King. There&#8217;s loads of activities too to keep little ones busy and cool exhibitions for teens to explore. </p>
