The March of the Imagination, Compton Verney, Fri Oct 26-Sun Nov 11
For the third year running, the stunning ‘Capability’ Brown grounds and Robert Adam-designed house are going to be illuminated in a new outdoor art work this autumn. The Warwickshire art gallery and park has commissioned award-winning artists, Musson+Retallick, to create a series of remarkable night-time displays called March of the Imagination.
Five playful installations will explore the relationship between the human mind and machines. Art lovers and families can also become part of the installation, by following an impressive trail of 4000 reflective forms through the park, controlling lighting with mechanical devices and peering into a cinematic world where the latest technology mixes with Victorian invention. It will run across three consecutive weekends in October and November. Seasonal treats including speciality hot chocolates and freshly baked wood-fired pizzas will be served.
Each event runs from 6.30pm-9.30pm (Fri, Sat, Sun), with timed entry starting. Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, comptonverney
