Head to the RSC to catch <a href="https://www.rsc.org.uk/a-midsummer-nights-dream/">A Midsummer Night’s Dream</a> until 24 March. Matthew Baynton – fresh from writing and starring in BBC’s Ghosts – plays Bottom, in the classic Shakespearian tale which sees real and fairy worlds collide. Rugby&#8217;s Macready Theatre has comedy <a href="https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/rugby-arts/berts-house/e-dqrozl">Bert&#8217;s House</a> as part of the show&#8217;s debut tour. It&#8217;s on 9 March. 



Happy Birthday Spot! Interactive family theatre tour <a href="https://www.sambradshawproductions.com/current-productions/spots-birthday-party/">Spot’s Birthday Party</a> (based on the much-loved Spot the Dog stories), comes to <a href="http://www.warwickdc.gov.uk/royalspacentre">Leamington Spa Royal Spa Centre</a> on 7-8 Mar (followed by <a href="http://www.worcestertheatres.co.uk">Worcester Swan Theatre</a> on 21-22 May and then <a href="http://www.belgrade.co.uk">Coventry Belgrade</a> 31 May &#8211; 1 Jun). Woof to that! The show, which promises songs and dance, and is being produced by the guys behind David Walliam’s Mr Stink, so it bodes well. Tennessee Williams&#8217; semi autobiographical masterpiece <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/the-glass-menagerie/">The Glass Menagerie</a> is at the Belgrade Theatre featuring Gosford Park&#8217;s Geraldine Somerville. Catch it from 16 &#8211; 23 March. At Leamington’s The Loft Theatre take a trip to 1830s Ireland to catch&nbsp;<a href="https://lofttheatrecompany.com/performance/translations/">Translations</a>&nbsp;by Brian Friel, running&nbsp;until 2 March and there&#8217;s a 20th century drama <a href="https://lofttheatrecompany.com/performance/under-milk-wood/">Under Milk Wood</a> from 30 March &#8211; 6 April.

Talented saxophonist, composer, bandleader and innovator <a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/3Vy-camilla-george/">Camilla George</a> is at Warwick Arts Centre performing her own style of African and Western fusion music on 1 March. At the same venue on 9 March the lead singer from <a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/MbH-the-coral-the-making-of-the-debut-album/">The Coral</a> is holding an evening of music and conversation. <a href="http://birmingham.bachchoir.com">Birmingham Bach Choir</a>&nbsp;return to Lichfield Cathedral on March 9 for Bach&#8217;s&nbsp;St Matthew Passion&nbsp;&#8211; described by composer/conductor Paul Spicer as&nbsp;&#8216;the greatest work created by the human mind&#8217;. In Brum everyone’s favourite dog show&nbsp;<a href="https://www2.theticketfactory.com/the-kennel-club/online/">Crufts</a>&nbsp;is back at the NEC from&nbsp;7-10 March. It’s great for stocking up on loads of quirky items for dog owners, and great entertainment for all ages.

We’re spoilt for choice at The Herbert in Cov where&nbsp;<a href="https://www.theherbert.org/whats-on/1778/case-coventry-art-societies-exhibition">CASE: Coventry Art Societies Exhibition</a>, runs from until 3 March, it’s the first time it’s run since lockdown and features the work of 75 talented local artists. Acclaimed photographer, writer and broadcaster Johny Pitts will bring&nbsp;<a href="https://www.theherbert.org/whats-on/1779/after-the-end-of-history-contemporary-working-class-photography-1989-2024">After the End of History: Contemporary Working Class Photography</a>&nbsp;from&nbsp;29 March – 16 June&nbsp;on the first stint of a UK tour looking at working-class life.

Just down the road at Warwick Arts Centre you can catch&nbsp;<a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/39J-phantom-sculpture/">Phantom Sculptures</a>&nbsp;until&nbsp;10 March. It brings together works by some modern artist and puts them alongside those from older artists.

From March a huge new sculpture park will open at pretty&nbsp;<a href="https://www.comptonverney.org.uk/event/sculpture-in-the-park/">Compton Verney</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;21 March – 2 May featuring work by eight modern and contemporary artists from around the world. It will include temporary displays and permanent fixtures across the 120 acre Capability Brown landscape along the theme of ‘utopia’. Can’t. Wait.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-comedy">COMEDY</h2>



Fresh from a run at Edinburgh Fringe and bestselling book and tv show This is Going to Hurt, <a href="https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/adam-kay-undoctored/the-alexandra-theatre-birmingham/">Adam Kay</a> is back with Undoctored spilling tales about life on and off the wards. He&#8217;s at The Alexandra Theatre on 25 March. Also at the Alex is a parody of 90&#8217;s favourite <a href="https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/buffy-revamped/the-alexandra-theatre-birmingham/">Buffy</a>, told through the eyes of everyone&#8217;s favourite character (or just mine?) Spike. It&#8217;s on 26 March. There&#8217;s also <a href="https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/frankie-boyle/the-alexandra-theatre-birmingham/">Frankie Boyle</a> on 29 March.
