Olivier Award-winning comedy straight from the West End to Cov? Yes please.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/pride-and-prejudice-sort-of/">Pride and Prejudice (sort of)</a>&nbsp;is an outlandish re-telling of the Austen classic and on at The Belgrade from&nbsp;7-11 Feb.&nbsp;I&#8217;ll be there in my finest corset.

Compton Verney always puts on an impressive exhibition and I can&#8217;t wait for this one with local roots too. <a href="https://www.comptonverney.org.uk/event/tudor-mystery-a-master-painter-revealed/">Tudor Mystery: A Master Painter Revealed</a> is inspired by the gallery&#8217;s portrait of Sir Thomas Knyvett from the 1500&#8217;s (pictured above) and is the first devoted to the almost unknown painter at the court of Elizabeth I. The exhibition is on from 4 Feb-7 May and includes loans from public and private collections, including a portrait of Anne Russell, former Countess of Warwick.

There’s a cool new exhibition coming to Cov this month from the brains behind the&nbsp;Turner Prize exhibition, when the award was held in the city in 2021.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.theherbert.org/whats-on/1711/divided-selves-legacies-memories-belonging">Divided Selves: Legacies, Memories, Belonging</a>&nbsp;explores community, belonging and togetherness from 18 Feb – 24 Sept. Make sure you leave some time to go and see <a href="https://www.theherbert.org/whats-on/1697/dippy-in-coventry-the-nations-favourite-dinosaur">Dippy the Diplodocus</a> at the gallery too, which is on loan from the National History Museum.&nbsp;

Catch Muddy favourites Birmingham Royal Ballet at the Symphony Hall on 11 Feb for an <a href="https://bmusic.co.uk/events/an-evening-of-music-and-dance-with-birmingham-royal-ballet-and-the-royal-ballet-sinfonia">Evening of Dance and Music</a> where they will be joined by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia. They&#8217;ll also be performing&nbsp;<a href="https://www.birminghamhippodrome.com/calendar/brb-swan-lake-three/">Swan Lake</a>&nbsp;at the Hippodrome from&nbsp;15-26 Feb.

At The Rep from 17 Feb-4 March there&#8217;s the premiere of comedy <a href="https://www.birmingham-rep.co.uk/whats-on/the-way-old-friends-do-2/">The Way Old Friends Do</a> &#8211; it&#8217;s written by Solihull-born Ian Hallard and directed by Mark Gatiss, who&#8217;s previously worked on Doctor Who and Sherlock. I reckon that&#8217;s good enough for Muddy then, I&#8217;ll see you at the bar!

As always there&#8217;s a great line-up of shows in Cov, with musical <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/vampires-rock/">Vampires Rock</a> on 24 Feb and <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/vampires-rock/">An Inspector Calls</a> from 28 Feb-4 March, both at The Belgrade.



And if you still haven&#8217;t had your fill of the panto after Christmas then head to Hatton Adventure World to catch <a href="https://adventure.hattonworld.com">Aladdin</a> from 18-26 Feb. Performances are about 40 minutes and held four times a day &#8211; so plenty of time to cuddle some farmyard animals afterwards.

Inquisitive minds can get involved with Compton Verney’s outdoor exhibition The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.comptonverney.org.uk/event/morag-myerscough/">Summer of Colour</a>&nbsp;installation by Morag Myerscough. It&#8217;s a huge hit with little and big kids, and on show until the end of March.

Compton Verney&#8217;s <a href="https://www.comptonverney.org.uk/event/spectacle/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Spectacle of Light</a> is back from 10 Feb &#8211; 5 March. Take Fido, wrap up warm and take in all the beautiful installations. There’s food from Digbeth Dining Club too when you get to the end – what more do you need!



It might be winter but is anyone else sick of being cooped up indoors. Grab your warmest boots and coat and head to <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/shropshire-staffordshire/moseley-old-hall/events/e6fd634c-3e30-4a16-b7ff-62a109d8fc7d">Moseley Old Hall</a> on 25 Feb. A ranger at the National Trust property will guide the walk, pointing out how to identify winter trees. 



At Attingham Park in Shrewsbury grab a hot chocolate and head to an evening <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/shropshire-staffordshire/attingham-park/events/ea34477d-14ea-4539-9b35-d4997c51f9ec?origin=search">snowdrop walk</a>. The grounds will covered in fairy lights and snowdrops will be lit up with flood lights. It&#8217;s on 23-25 Feb.
