Cov&#8217;s <a href="https://warks.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/belgrade-theatre-coventry-2/">Belgrade Theatre</a> is easy to get to from pretty much anywhere, and they&#8217;re bringing heaps of things to do this February in the Midlands. From 21 Feb &#8211; 8 March there&#8217;s a rap version of <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/romeo-and-juliet/">Romeo and Juliet</a>. It&#8217;s followed by <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk/events/the-woman/">(the) Woman</a> giving a closer look at motherhood from 27 &amp; 28 Feb.

Lucky us having the RSC right on our doorstep, and there’s heaps of awesome performances on this month. We’re particularly excited about&nbsp;<a href="https://www.rsc.org.uk/hamlet/">Hamlet</a>&nbsp;from&nbsp;8 Feb – 29 March, and Christopher Marlowe’s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.rsc.org.uk/edward-ii/">Edward II</a>&nbsp;from&nbsp;21 Feb – 5 April.



If dance is more your thing then Birmingham Royal Ballet is spoiling us with things to do this February. On&nbsp;15 Feb&nbsp;its world-class dancers will take to the Symphony Hall stage to perform classics from&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brb.org.uk/shows/ashton-classics">Frederick Ashton ballets</a>. Its big showstopper is from&nbsp;19 Feb – 1 March with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.birminghamhippodrome.com/calendar/brb-cinderella-two/">Cinderella</a>&nbsp;at the Hippodrome.&nbsp;Over at Motionhouse&nbsp;<a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/rJf-motionhousehidden/">Warwick Arts Centre</a>&nbsp;there&#8217;s the gravity-defying Hidden from&nbsp;6 – 9 Feb. It&#8217;s followed by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/ndU-roshni-presented-by-sonia-sabri-company/">Roshni – Sonia Sabri Company</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;12 Feb&nbsp;mixing dance and live music.&nbsp;

Take a deep breath because music-wise there&#8217;s heaps of things to do this February in the Midlands. At BP Pulse Arena there’s <a href="https://www.bppulselive.co.uk/whats-on/toto">Toto&nbsp;</a>on&nbsp;2 Feb,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bppulselive.co.uk/whats-on/cyndi-lauper">Cyndi Lauper</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;14 Feb,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bppulselive.co.uk/whats-on/craig-david">Craig David</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;15 Feb and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bppulselive.co.uk/whats-on/snow-patrol">Snow Patrol</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;16 Feb. At the Symphony Hall there’s&nbsp;<a href="https://bmusic.co.uk/events/alison-moyet">Alison Moyet</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;27 Feb. If classical music is more your thing there’s the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/ri8-royal-philharmonic-orchestra/">Royal Philharmonic Orchestra&nbsp;</a>at Warwick Arts Centre on&nbsp;28 Feb.

Over in Wolverhampton there&#8217;s an absolute blast from the past with <a href="https://www.thehallswolverhampton.co.uk/events/bowling-for-soup/">Bowling for Soup and Wheatus</a> on 9 Feb. <a href="https://www.thehallswolverhampton.co.uk/events/cage-the-elephant/">Cage the Elephant</a> play on 16 Feb and <a href="https://www.thehallswolverhampton.co.uk/events/martin-kemp/">Martin Kemp</a> on 21 Feb.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-comedy">COMEDY</h2>



Taskmaster favourite <a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/ry3-sophie-duker-but-daddy-i-love-her/">Sophie Duker</a> is at Warwick Arts Centre discussing her (sugar) daddy issues on 7 Feb in But Daddy I Love Her. She’s followed on 8 Feb by Edinburgh Fringe sell-out comedienne <a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/rQf-ania-magliano-forgive-me-father/">Ania Magliano</a>. Over in Wolverhampton there&#8217;s <a href="https://www.thehallswolverhampton.co.uk/events/katherine-ryan/">Katherine Ryan</a> on 8 Feb and <a href="https://www.thehallswolverhampton.co.uk/events/paul-smith/">Paul Smith</a> on 21 &amp; 22 Feb.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-exhibitions">EXHIBITIONS</h2>



This one looks set to be super impressive. Bundle up warm and head to Brum where there’s a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.birminghamlightfestival.co.uk/">Light Festival</a>&nbsp;from&nbsp;19 – 22 Feb. Everywhere from The Mailbox to St Paul’s Square will be lit up with cool installations. They’re all within walking distance of each other, so grab a coffee to go and make a night of it with one of the coolest things to do this February in the Midlands. The highlight is a silent disco in Centenary Square which is where you’ll find us! If you&#8217;ve got a few extra hours to kill then make time to check out the <a href="https://www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/exhibitions/wildlife-photographer-of-the-year">Wildlife Photographer of the Year</a>&nbsp;exhibition, also in Brum. It&#8217;s on show at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery until&nbsp;20 April with late opening on&nbsp;22 Feb.&nbsp;

Elsewhere in the city it&#8217;s <a href="https://www.birminghamhippodrome.com/calendar/chinese-new-year-2025-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chinese New Year</a> on 1 &amp; 2 Feb. Check out the processions, performances, market stalls, funfair and street food. Don’t head home too early – there’s a huge fireworks display on Sunday evening.&nbsp;



Fancy paying the Amazon rainforest a visit without leaving south Warwickshire? Head to <a href="https://www.comptonverney.org.uk/whats-on/breathing-with-the-forest/">Compton Verney</a> for an immersive video installation by experiential artist collective Marshmallow Laser Feast from 8 Feb &#8211; 6 April. Breathing with the Forest is set on three huge screens in the Adam Hall and depicts the life cycle of the rainforest.

It’s Warwick Arts Centre’s 60th anniversary this year. To celebrate you can check out&nbsp;<a href="https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/nLB-the-future-is-today-prints-and-theuniversity-of-warwick-1965-to-now/">The Future Is Today: Prints and the University of Warwick 1965 to Now</a>&nbsp;until&nbsp;9 Mar. There’s works from some 60 artists including the likes of Andy Warhol and Tracey Emin, and you can have a bash at making your own prints in the studio too.
