<p>This pretty (and colourful) field in Allesley is one of the last remaining wild daffodil <a href="https://www.warwickshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/node/395">meadows</a>. It&#8217;s open this time of year for a refreshing walk, perfect insta shot and general swooning. Throughout the year it&#8217;s home to sheep, so dogs aren&#8217;t allowed in the meadow.</p>

<p>The spring garden at National Trust&#8217;s <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/coughton-court/features/daffodils-at-coughton-court-">Coughton Court</a> is brimming with thousands of resplendent yellow daffs with more than 20 varieties. Not surprising, given it was opened in honour of the &#8216;Dean of Daffodils&#8217; Dr Tom D Throckmorton &#8211; who was the first person to build a database for the flower. There&#8217;s a cafe at the property or pop into <a href="https://cafedesfleursalcester.co.uk/">Cafe Les Fleurs</a> or <a href="https://www.theloungebars.co.uk/the-lounge-alcester">The Lounge@26 </a>(café by day and gin/cocktail bar by night) on Alcester High Street for coffee, cake or Caramel Espresso Martini perhaps?</p>

<p>Head along to <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/packwood-house">this National Trust property</a> in Solihull where the gardens are currently awash with bright yellow flowers. The best place to find them is along the roadside verges and there&#8217;s a thick carpet of them lining the floor in the orchard. On-site there&#8217;s also the Garden Kitchen Café and a lovely lakeside walk.</p>

<p>These beautifully restored<a href="https://hillclosegardens.com"> Victorian gardens</a> are home to a variety of beautiful plants, and the best bit? You can buy some from the on-site shop, with many varieties of plants propagated from the gardens. </p>

<p>Theodore Mander, part of a 19th-century family of industrialists in the area, and his wife Flora, decorated <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/wightwick-manor-and-gardens">Wightwick Manor</a>&#8216;s interiors with the designs of William Morris and his Arts and Crafts contemporaries. It&nbsp;remains a vision of a late Victorian private home set in 17 acres of woodland and Edwardian gardens by celebrated landscape designer Thomas Mawson with a number of outdoor ‘rooms’.&nbsp;Expect to see the orchards full of daffs and keep the kids busy by spotting wildlife around the many pools.</p>

<p>On 6 April <a href="https://www.revelgroup.org/daffodilsunday">&#8216;Daffodil Sunday&#8217;</a> returns between 11am and 4pm held with permission of Earl and Countess of Denbigh  in this Capability Brown landscape  filled with woodland and lakeside walks. Along with traipsing through the fields of yellow flowers, there&#8217;s a vintage car and tractor show for little (and big) ones to meet, live music, activities, 50+ stalls and refreshments. Tickets £5 for adults, free for children, with proceeds going towards the upkeep of six village churches. </p>
