#inlovewithlocal – Put a face to your favourite indies
Meet the sisters who help to run the family-run Warwickshire farm shop which celebrates its centenary in 2020!
Sally Haines and Emma Taylor Hillers, Hillers Farm Shop, Alcester
We are fourth generation sisters and although we started out with our own careers away from the Farm, we could not help but return to the family business. Being hands-on we are able to keep the various business areas totally relevant to today’s market and are so excited that the business will be celebrating being 100 years old in 2020! We love that Hillers has a real family feel and it is such a wonderful place to work, especially at Christmas; it is buzzing and we so enjoy the interaction with our customers who love the personal touch – we all enjoy giving great customer service and our customers are happy and leave us ready to celebrate Christmas.
The whole site looks really festive and has a fantastic Christmassy feel to it and we benefit from seeing happy customers buying Christmas Trees from our Garden Shop, wonderful presents from our Gift Shop and making merry with friends and family over Christmas lunch in the Restaurant and of course buying the fresh picked, locally grown sprouts, sprouts and more sprouts! One of the things we enjoy most about being in the farm shop is seeing how popular our own mince pies are which we make here in our farm shop kitchen; it makes all the hard work well worth it and the extra glass of wine on Christmas day guilt free! We wish all of our customers past, present and future a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year.
