<p>Fair warning: If you’re prone to sob at the opening credits of&nbsp;<em>One Born Every Minute</em>, you might want to stock up on tissues for this. The first episode of this three-part documentary follows three pregnant women who all require surgery to be performed on their babies while they’re still in the womb. The medical staff of St. George’s in Wandsworth are the heroes of the hour, who performed this incredible work while being trailed by a camera crew under pandemic conditions. Truly remarkable.</p>

<p>Fancy staying up all night to watch the stars and their frocks and the inevitable gushing speeches thanking everyone from their primary school teacher to their cleaning lady? Well, Sky Cinema is the place to do it and the show starts just as Sunday night turns into Monday morning so you’d better be stocked up on your coffee and Red Bull. Can’t take the pace? No worries: Sky One will be running a highlights reel in normal BST hours. But apparently Sunday&#8217;s <em>Line of Duty</em> got more views (11million)!</p>

<p>Seth Rogan plays both lead roles in this full-length comedy that is a lovely, easy watch if you’re not in the mood for anything too trying. The plot is as follows: an orthodox Jewish immigrant moves to America and falls into a vat of pickle brine. He is preserved for 100 years and once brought back to life, meets his isolated, app-developer great-grandson in present-day Brooklyn. Cue plenty of generational gags and a nice warm feeling as the credits roll.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Headspace Guide to Sleep (Netflix) – Wed 28 April</h2>

<p>This is an intriguing prospect: Netflix has joined forces with meditation app Headspace and created a series to help all us insomniacs out there to sleep better. It promises to explore all the sleep ‘facts’ that we’ve absorbed over the years and aims to set out a healthy and achievable path to peaceful, sleep-filled nights.</p>

Lock the doors and windows before you start watching.</p>

<p>Justin Theroux is heading up this drama series adaption of his uncle’s 1981 novel of the same name (travel writer Paul Theroux, in case you’re wondering) about a family who moves from Massachusetts to Latin America’s Mosquito Coast to escape the US government and search for a simpler life. However, that’s not necessarily what they find as things start to unravel in the jungle.</p>

If you enjoy a bit of car-crash telly and are a fan of Steve Coogan’s Little Englander, then you’ll be delighted to know he’s back on prime time with another series of his&nbsp;<em>The One Show&nbsp;</em>spoof. This time Partridge and his co-host Jennie Gresham (Susannah Fielding) will be covering everything “from aqua-aerobics to abortion, from zebras to zionism”.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It’s a big one, this. So: you’ll be familiar with Tom Clancy’s best-selling military thrillers such as&nbsp;<em>Patriot Games</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Clear and Present Danger</em>. And you’ll be aware of the considerable talent that is Michael B. Jordan (<em>Black Panther</em>). Both these come together in this much-anticipated film that sees Jordan play John Clark, a rogue US Navy Seal who has revenge on his mind. Strap yourselves in for intrigue and big budget action.</p>

<p>Favourite to win Best Picture at this year’s Oscars,&nbsp;<em>Nomadland</em>&nbsp;(featuring the ever-watchable Frances McDormand – also nominated for Best Actress) is coming to Disney + just after the prizes are awarded. It tells the tale of a woman in her 60s, choosing to sell her belongings and take to the road after her husband dies, and in doing so being introduced to a nomadic community. Consider it a Western for the 21st century.</p>
