<p>This quirky collection of eight glamping cabins and two luxury barn conversions is nestled in the heart of the countryside in Southam. Some of <a href="https://warks.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/tinywood-homes-luxury-glamping-warwickshire/">Tinywood Homes</a>&#8216; huts have hot tubs and all come with barbecues perfect for alfresco dining &#8211; they&#8217;re cosy out in winter too with covered seating areas, just grab a blanket and light a fire. The cabins are surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks, with plenty of pubs within strolling distance. But if you fancy getting out in the car it&#8217;s close to recency town Leamington Spa and historic Warwick &#8211; perfect for exploring and day trips.</p>

<p>There&#8217;s a real sense of escapism here &#8211; when Muddy dropped in for a stay, it offered a hard-to-get balance of relaxation and peace, but fun for the kids. One of the great aspects of this place is the opportunity and space for kids to play while knowing they are safe. Our Muddy family spent two nights (a Friday and Saturday) at Tinywood. The fellow guests were mix of families and couples and while bustling, and on a fairly small site, you&#8217;re not on top of each other and there are fences between each hut for privacy. If chatting over the picket fence isn&#8217;t your thing, you won&#8217;t feel forced to meet the neighbours if you don&#8217;t want to.</p>

<p>Good things come in small packages! The property was absolutely gorgeous, a wooden hut giving ski holiday vibes (luckily though the weather was kind). Tinywood Three (they are all numbered) was two storeys high and accessed by a set of wooden step ladders. Upstairs were two separate rooms &#8211; a double bed in one and and a twin room for the two kids. The little ones found climbing the stairs to bed very exciting. </p>

<p>Downstairs there was a well-stocked kitchen for those who would rather cook their own meals, and a fold out dining table for five. There&#8217;s everything you need including kettle, washing up liquid, tea towels, utensils, plates and crockery. If cooking isn&#8217;t on the agenda there&#8217;s plenty of pubs a short stroll away or five minutes drive in the car. The living room had a wood burner, sofa and chair beds (meaning it slept eight in total) and most importantly there&#8217;s a bathroom complete with shower and toilet. We love a camping weekend, but there&#8217;s nothing worse than having to traipse outside at night to find the loos! Wifi is free, linen is provided, but make sure you take your own towels.</p>

<p>While the chalets are fab, outside is the real piece du resistance. They all have a wood-fired hot tub (make sure you start it up nice and early), barbecue, covered eating area complete with open fire pit and views for miles over the open countryside. We&#8217;d advise you make like Muddy and enjoy a bottle of fizz in the hot tub before toasting marshmallows over the fire. </p>

<p>Super dog friendly. Lots of guests took their pooch with them and there are loads of lovely walks to tire them out, and dog-friendly pubs for a pit stop. </p>

<p>Take a short stroll along the disused railway into Long Itchington where there&#8217;s seven different pubs to choose from. <a href="https://www.duckonthepondlongitchington.co.uk">The Duck on the Pond</a> is under new management and is great for a Sunday roast, it&#8217;s also one of the most dog-friendly places about. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/BuckandBellLongItch/">The Buck &amp; Bell </a>does good food too and also hosts live music nights. If you fancy a drive out we can recommend the <a href="https://warks.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/review-the-red-lion-hunningham/">Red Lion in Hunningham</a> for pub grub and steaks, or gastropub <a href="https://www.thestagatoffchurch.com/#our-menus">The Stag at Offchurch</a> is great too.</p>



<p>If you want to head out there&#8217;s plenty around. Leamington is around ten minutes down the road which is perfect for a shopping trip or some bar hopping. Or why not try something a little different and book into a gin tasting with <a href="https://warwickshiregincompany.co.uk/pages/gin-tasting-experience">Warwickshire Gin Company</a>? Just up the road is <a href="https://www.warwick-castle.com">Warwick Castle</a> or if you fancy heading a little further afield there&#8217;s the <a href="https://www.rsc.org.uk">RSC</a> in Stratford-upon-Avon or the opposite direction is the <a href="https://www.belgrade.co.uk">Belgrade Theatre</a> in Cov. </p>

<p><strong>Good for:</strong> Families and couples looking for a break away from it all but with all the home comforts you need (and some extra)</p>



<p><strong>Not for:</strong> Groups of friends (if you are a rowdy bunch) &#8211; there&#8217;s an 11pm noise curfew in the huts and barns</p>



<p><strong>The damage: </strong>Costs start at and incredibly reasonable £125 a night for two night breaks in the smallest properties (which sleep two) and go up to around £300 for a two night break in larger huts sleeping eight. </p>
