<p>Delicious, cheap eats in the Midlands, and you&#8217;ll keep going back for more. This chicken shop in Brum is serving up messy burgers, strips and wings. Dishes start from £9, or £4.50 for fries. Get in early and try to avoid the weekend crowd, and it&#8217;s walk-ins only here. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-golden-moments"><a href="https://goldenmomentswalsall.com">Golden Moments</a></h2>



<p>Craving a curry? This place in Walsall is one of the best around, and on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays bag all you can eat for £15. Tuck into poppadoms, starters and mains. Gold star to you if you manage more than two plates at this place with some of the best cheap eats in the Midlands.</p>

<p>In the mood for Chinese? This joint in Coventry&#8217;s FarGo Village makes hand-pulled noodles and dumplings which are cooked to perfection every time (I know, I&#8217;ve eaten there <em>a lot</em>.) A jasmine rice bowl with kimchi and mushroom sauce comes in at £4 or try the signature Biang Biang noodles for £6.50. In the mood for dumplings? A portion of 7 will set you back just £6. </p>

<p>Head to this farm shop on the outskirts of Leamington which specialises in local produce. It&#8217;s got stunning views over the Warwickshire countryside, so sit back in the cafe and enjoy breakfast, lunch or even an afternoon tea. Prices for breakfast start at £7.50 and lunch is around £7.50 for homemade soup with freshly made bread. </p>

<p>Head to this farm shop in Wythall, on the Warks and West Mids border where you can while away and few hours and have some great food too. The farm shop&#8217;s brimming homemade cakes, bread, a deli and butchers. Head to the sandwich bar to grab a freshly made sarnie, salad box or pasta box starting from £1.95. <p>With the name of the game here being Indian street food, the menu is pleasantly affordable. Decently sized, good value, fragrant dishes range from £6 to £13 (and that’s for a curry served inside a hollowed out loaf of bread, so nice and filling!). Since the MO is fast, real eating, it’s a zingy, messy experience: roti wraps leaking sweet chutney, piles of sticky tamarind fries, lots of crunchy finger food. Can’t decide what to order? Choose a Tiffin Box for one for a chef’s choice selection: a bargain at four different dishes from £18.</p>

<p>Tuck into brunches, light bites, a 12&#8243; sourdough pizza for £14 accompanied by lovely local craft beers and wines at this laid-back independent bar-cafe. It has as a real community vibe to it with events including live sports, film club and live music. Very child-friendly too, serving up some awesome cheap eats in the Midlands. The stylish industrial-style interior is a mash-up of steel and turquoise velvet seating was designed by owner John Martin.</p>

<p>Muddy is no stranger to The Coconut Tree – we love its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You know what we also love about this lively Sri Lankan joint? The price. Smaller dishes start at just £4, with the most you’ll pay for any single dish being £15 for the substantial seafood kottu. This place is made for sharing and they even make big sharer ‘cocotails’, or go for their two cocktails for £18 deal, available always! Can’t argue with that.</p>

<p>A small but very welcoming independent bagel cafe and take-away which has expanded a huge amount in the last few years. Find them locally in Leamington, Solihull and Bromsgrove. Filled bagels are around £7 to take away and donuts are baked fresh every day, made from locally-sourced unbleached flour at Charlecote Mill. Plenty of choice. Great coffee too. Gets busy around lunchtime!</p>

<p>We’ve gone mad for the gorgeous grub at Pizza Express, and we’re singing it from the rooftops. I guess there’s just a whole load of rubbish pizza out there, and there’s nowhere else we’ve found serving up consistently top quality food that won’t break the bank – try this month’s <a href="https://www.pizzaexpress.com/london-450-strand/offers/offer-details?rid=1C4687883E5A4A3B9CEFD087C49C1D04" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">buy one pizza, get the second for £1 deal</a> for starters.</p>

<p>Great fresh salad boxes all year round made up to suit your tastes. Freshly-made sandwiches, and add a soup for an extra few quid. There&#8217;s loads of vegan options as well as handmade scotch eggs, pastries, and samosas. Gluten free lunch options include quiches, frittata, scotch eggs and sweet treats. </p>

<p>This pizza joint in Moseley serves up huge pizzas by the slice, perfect if you&#8217;re in the Midlands and after a cheap eat. Grab a slice of 20 inch spicy, cheesy, garlicky, bbq, vegan, spicy or smoky pizzas at £4.50 a slice. A side of buffalo fries come in at £5, so you can have a whole meal for less than a tenner.</p>

<p>Ingredients at this Bedworth vegetarian cafe are grown onsite and there&#8217;s a daily special meal costing £6. Portions are huge and these bargain bites are delicious. Think satay stir fry, aloo paratha or chilli nachos with salsa. There&#8217;s a garden centre on site and it&#8217;s right next to the Miner&#8217;s Welfare Park if you fancy a walk afterwards. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-taste-of-the-country"><a href="http://www.tasteofthecountry.com/">Taste of the Country</a></h2>



<p>This is a lovely and friendly local bakery-deli-grocery shop specialising in produce from the surrounding area and their own range of good value quality food. Local produce includes Kevin Roles honey, David Jowett&#8217;s amazing cheeses, ice cream from Broadway, cured meats from the Salt Pig in Chipping Norton, Cotswold Gin &#8211; the distillery is just 4 miles away &#8211; and local artisan ales from Cotswold brewery and Burkes beers. If you&#8217;re heading into the surrounding countryside for a walk and need a picnic &#8211; stock up here on the way!</p>
