Happy Birthday Baby Barn!

Car Seat Safety workshops will be running at Warwickshire's largest indie nursery store in Marton, nr Rugby on June 23 & 24 to mark its 25th anniversary.

When mum-of-two Sue Dronfield first opened The Baby Barn Pram & Nursery Centre inside the family’s converted barn in Marton, Rugby, Warwickshire, in June 1993 she’d not long had her first baby. This summer not only is Sue is celebrating her award-winning barn’s silver anniversary, but her daughter Lottie’s wedding!

Being a new mum Sue spotted a gap in the market for selling top-of-the-range nursery and baby equipment for more rural mums – it’s now the largest independent nursery store in Warwickshire with an excellent rep for very personal customer service. She found it a great opportunity to work from home while bringing up Lottie, aged 25, and brother Ben, now aged 22.

Over the last 25 years Sue has seen the styles of prams and car seats change enormously – prams have become way more fashionable with designer fabrics and leather trims; while some car seats are fitted air bags and compatible with the pram chassis.  She offers a very personal service allowing customers to touch, feel and push products around with full product demonstrations, sound advice to suit their lifestyle and budget, as well as trying the items in their cars for size.

To celebrate their birthday this month The Baby Barn has organised two weekends of in-store events:

Car Seat Safety Event with Maxi Cosi and Be Safe, Sat June 16 & 17 and Sat June 23 & Sun June 24

Experts will be in store to answer any questions on the new i-size legislation and fitting. There’ll also be in-store advice on safety in the home, baby carriers and swaddling.

Mini First Aid taster sessions, Sat June 16 –  11.15am & 12.15pm. New courses will be running in store from July.

I don’t think it will look quite like this!

If you’re feeling a bit parched you can always pop into their lovely new baby-friendly Baby Bean Cafe for a pot of Drury Tea or coffee and a slice of cake overlooking the surrounding fields and countryside. Breastfeeding welcome and there are fab baby changing facilities.
